The faceshield was easy to assemble and fits snuggly and was functional with smaller (behind the head) ear protection. I did have to bore out one of the "snap-in" holes on the top strap so that the peg would actually fit without having to apply a lot of force. I didn't mind making this modification as it was very minor and, again, the price for the value of the full-face protection is totally acceptable.

there was a scare about h1n1 last fall. instead of going over the top with a full gas
mask it was almost as protective to get some n95 nose and mouth covers a cheap pair
of painter's goggles, earplugs and a disposable shower hairnet that covers the ears
and for extra safety a cheap clear face sheild. i would up using the n95 mask and
painters goggles to go to the supermarket but by january the flu and vaccine issue
was a non issue. we were lucky this time. it cost about 25 dollars us onstead of
100 plus for a decent gasmask and possibly being qiestioned by security personnel.
the improvised n95 breather and painter goggles got a few stares but the improvised
gear was not alarming as a gas mask and provided 95% of the protection from potential
coughs and sneezes. the face sheild hasnt been used vs a deadly virus yet, thankfully.
however it came in handy when dealing with rat traps. i protected my face against
a potential rat attack. i felt confident about setting traps and releasing them. i
might risk a scar on my hands but who the heck would risk a face scar from a rat?
i think if riot squads use clear face masks to protect from chemical and other risks
and factory workers and even dental assistants use them why not me? one of those
minor investments in protection that you hope you never need but are glad you
have on hand if you do. its not just risking face scars, its eye and mouth protection.
for 15 bucks you have emergency gear and confidence in dealing with other face risks.

Purchased this product just about a year ago.
One thing that I did not like was that it did not have the ratchet mechanism to tighten the head strap, instead it had the style of hole and button that you find on cheap 'one size fits all' hat.
The second thing I did not like is that it did not like to stay up and out of the way when you wanted to get a clean look at something, and there was no way to increase the stay up tension. You would lift the shield and it always flopped back down unless you tilted it all the way up, but then one size fits all strap was not strong enough to keep it on your head.
Today I went out into my shop and the head band had split in two around one of the front pivot bushings. It failed just sitting on the bench, well at least it did not pop off in the middle of doing some work.

This is a quality, nice looking faceshield and not even expensive. It works great. Love it. Recommended 100%.

The face shield works great but doesn't allow for the use of the safety ear protection.
